If anyone is interested in touring around Scotland or maybe driving the NC500 then this may be of interest. I've linked a couple of amateur videos documenting 2 x Boxsters (981 S) touring the west coast and mountain resorts.

The cars covered circa 850 miles in 2 days so at the very least may help with future road trip planning or be useful if you are interested in buying a 981.

Both cars are PDK and fitted with PSE hence all the pops and bangs.

Grab a tea or coffee and watch, please like and subscribe if you enjoyed them.

Sorry, but the music you put on killed it for me.

Don't be sorry, yes a bit loud I'll fire the man responsible in the morning.

Good progress in 2 days and great vids. Did the 500 in three days last summer and loved it. Just got back from an Alpine Assault in Switzerland Italy and Austria via Black Forest. Excellent trip. Roads in Scotland much quieter though so we were hitting the main Passes at 6 am in Europe as they were rammed with traffic by 930am.

Cracking convoy that! I had an e92 M3 previously can't say I feel the Boxster to be any slower in outright pace, did you find the same?

Yes 850 in two days didn't leave much time for video or stopping would love to do the Alps next.

It's a bit of a beast that e92 is tbh. kW clubsports, about 8k worth of stoptech brakes and running wide tyres 888rs all round. Seats and half cage etc easy sub 8 atbthe ring. In a straight line upto 100 ish not much in it but his brakes and how hard he can brake with the engine over the front gains a fair bit. We were on roads we didn't know so I'd have a better idea on roads we know. I've only just had my Cayman too. Smashed 2750 miles in a week though.touring is living the dream imo. Brecon Beacons at the end of September to look forward to.

Yes sounds like it's extremely well sorted, very capable cars and they hide their weight well.

I agree you can't beat a bit of touring, enjoy the Cayman.

It's not only too loud, the music is also generic crap.

Great post, many thanks for sharing. We’re touring part of the NC500 in a couple of weeks time with our Boxster GTS cool Here’s hoping the weather is as good as you had!

Yes, unfortunately Youtube doesn't appreciate using anything copyrighted.

Thanks and glad to hear it, similar route to ours? The first time we visited was September we had a mix of good and bad days, the grey weather can actually add to the experience in some areas and it tends to get slightly quieter. Enjoy.

Thank you!

Driving up from South Coast, first night in Temple Sowerby near Penrith, three nights in Fort William, then staying in Kylesku, then up and round the North coast to Tongue, staying a couple of nights with friends near Thurso before driving down to Grantown on Spey, finally spending a week in the Trossachs before wending our way home.
