For those of you who like to know every little detail - maybe you could help - Is there a pattern to decrypting identification numbers?

I have two examples
SDLDGC 4P2TG 011729
SDLDGC 5P5SB 011217

Is part of this related to year, etc - or is there simply no meaning at all, and you have to submit each number to TVR for history???

Ahhh, it's all so clear now...

Reason was that the first number posted above comes from the following -

1996 LHD Griffith 400!!!

It's a 500 series model with a 4 litre engine - seems it came out of the factory that way as per the original buyer's request - very strange!!!
