Bit of a screw up on my part.

I own Burnout 3 Takedown on my old Xbox 360 mainly for the split screen fun with a mate. Really enjoyed it.

Now have a Xbox One but Takedown is not yet backward compatible but Burnout Paradise is, so bought a new one off eBay thinking it would be a graphics upgrade but otherwise the same. Only £9 but a complete waste as it doesn’t have split screen (I have little interest in playing online).

So what are my options please?

Does Burnout revenge for 360 have split screen as that is backward compatible?
Is there a similar or better series, I have Forza Horizon and MS for more realistic stuff, I want a silly crash your mate off road type game

Thanks

Ok but of research done and looks like revenge is split screen

Welcome any other game suggestions though

I don't have any game suggestions, but I thought the single player on Paradise was really good. Excellent soundtrack as well.

Well worth playing instead of writing it off as a waste of money.

Good to know - will certainly play it but my playing time tends to be excused by the other half when playing with my kid, have ordered Revenge this morning for £4 so all bases covered

Around the same time as Burnout was around, there were a few other arcade crash racing games. Ridge Racer Unbounded was a lot closer to Burnout than any Ridge Racer games. Split/Second was something about using power ups to trigger stunts on a TV show that would open up shortcuts or change the course to a different route. Blur was an arcade racer with Mario Kart type power ups. They're all probably cheap by now at CEX or Game for a used disc copy, and there's lots of gameplay videos online.

You should have bought Burnout Paradise: Remastered if you wanted the version with the better graphics.

I'm sure at some point Takedown will be backwards compatible. It was the best one in the series IMO.

As for gaming suggestions, take a look at Onrush if you are wanted smashes and takedowns.
