Because the search is not working what is the score with so2 tyres. Buggered one of my fronts I'm told I wont be able to get a replacement?. Does this mean I will have to change both front tyres or is there an equivelant.

Cheers

You always need to change both tyres at once regardless of makes!
S02s were discontinued 3 yrs ago. But thre has been a trickle supply for a while.
You can look at other threads this week re tyres for a replacement. Toyos are popular.

Point taken, problem is tyres have done less than 200 miles a brand new set alround, so i will be gutted to not have the same alround.

If you want to take a gamble and try some Falken FK4somethingsomethings - you'll find that a pair costs about the same as one single Bridgestone.

Worth a shot surely?? not tried them myself, but at £60 a corner, they may well replace our back toyos when they are gone - if they are rubbish we can always just burn them off on track

Not sure how you have managed to get S02s with only 200 miles - surely they were sourced recently? Cant you use the same source?

I know this is not much help for your predicament right now but for the future...

I spoke to the Bridgestone product manager for europe at the Geneva Motorshow, he indicated that a true sucessor to the SO2-PP will be available soon. The tyre is bieng launched in Switzerland Q3 2005 and is not due to be launched in the UK until Q2/3 2006.

It will be available in the
225/35R18 and 255/35R18 sizes and with Y 186MPH rating on both. I did have the brochure at home (in Swiss dagnamit) but it was legit as they had a demo tyre on the stand to look at. (unfortunately did'nt twig on getting photo's... )

I'm almost certain it went as the RE080 but cannot verify this.

Car was in storage for about ten months and when I picked it up 2 weeks ago the colour banding was fresh on all the tyres. So I assume the previous owner put the tyres on and never drove it.

Nick I am in Studley Warwickshire I bought Toyos for my Griff last year got a good deal but would dearly like to stay with the S0'2s.
