Our golf r estate is just under 12 months old and already the leg bolster on the drivers seat has worn so bad that the metal frame is touching through to the seat as if the foam padding has dropped. There is no foam between the seat frame and seat cover anymore. It’s only happened on the side nearest to the door and is perfect condition on the other side. I know you get in and out on the side that’s worn the most but I’d expect the padding to flatten abit but no my to drop so it’s not there anymore. Earliest vw can look at it is early 2 weeks. Anyone else had experience this problem.

Are you very fat? Do you sit on the edge of the seat a lot eg in carparks with your feet out?

I'm sure it would be replaced under warranty.

Fat? More Stocky! Ha. Weird it is that side tho as I tend to lean more on the other bolster as that’s where the armrest is.

A lot of modern performance cars suffer with this, just get it sorted under warranty.

I have this on my GTD, it’s so annoying. I believe the previous owner use to sit on it or was just extremely overweight... I’m out of warranty so I’ll gave to get an upholster to do it I guess. I feel like I’m falling out the seat!!!!!!
