bmw e90 radio problems

I have the same problem as many BMW owners with the Professional radio fitted to E90 models. I have replaced the amplifier module which is under the panel near the rear windscreen. I cleaned all of contacts on the replacement and opened up the unit and cleaned this inside. I noticed that when I tightened the fixing screw there was an improvement in sound quality so I cleaned the fixing screw base and contact point and weirdly my AM stations are back with good reception.So it seemed like a grounding issue all the time.
