NV200 - Sudden loss of, erm, everything!

Hi folks,
I was pottering along a country road at 50 mph today in my Nissan NV200, when suddenly, everything died, the dash went black, the wipers froze, and the engine stopped running.
I restarted the van and continued on. Keeping an eye on the dash, the speedo seemed to get stuck at around 25 mph, even though I was going quicker, the rev bar on the display was frozen too. Shortly after I noticed this, everything died again.
I restarted the van and managed to make it home without further incident. On plugging in the ODB reader thingamy, it said that there was an error P0670 Power Train - Glow Plug control module - circuit malfunction. There's no dash warning lights, and having pottered about town this evening, everything seems hunky dory again.
Any suggestions on what's going on?
