Email encryption software

[jamiet]

Years ago I used to use PGP for windows which was totally free. However, now I am finding it hard to find email encryption software that is free for commercial use. As far as I can tell the freeware windows release of PGP is personal use only. I only need to send a few encrypted emails over the course of next week so I dont want to pay for it unless I have to. I'd rather not go against the license and install an edition for personal use on work computers. Anyone got one they can recommend?

I've never tried it on Windows, but GNUPG is free.

'Enigmail' is a plugin for PGP enabling Thunderbird (via GnuPG)

It's the top item here:

(sorry if the URLs bust - PH html filter at work)

From memory, it was fairly straight forward to setup (might have had to do key generation on the command line though), but I never got into the habit of using it.
