Hi i was wondering if Fiat Punto Evos are reliable cars around 2010-2013? Also are they bigger then the Corsa?

Yes bigger than a Corsa, sumps rust through and the gearboxes are crap.

They're decent enough the gearbox can be rubbish but then the corsa suffers with that too, overall they're decent cars.

Personally I think the Punto is a better looking car, (I have had two from new), but the Corsa will be better quality, just has a heavier "feel" to it.

The Punto has now been discontinued btw, but spares should not be a problem.

My son's sump did rust through (With stone chips), but his was the old style Mk 2, before the Grande Punto.

Solid simple cars imo and cracking value if you want a cheap a to b tool car. Modern fiats aren’t noteably better or worse reliability wise than other humdrum brands. Plenty nearly new cars online for 6-7k. It’s an old design but the benefit of that is years of in production desnagging by the engineers. Keep it well serviced and it will run and run.

Wife has had two of them, both very good cars, had no problems, as said above look after them and the will be fine, sump rust was on the earlier models, still think they are/were one of the best looking hatchbacks ever made. She now has a 124 Spider which is a cracking thing to drivethumbup

Oh and ETA Corsa is a pile of ste, my son used to work for a Vauxhall dealer and brought a few home, they really were not even in the same league as the Fiat

Good cars when cared for. The Panda, Punto and 500s are all pretty similar under the skin and it's also similar to the Alfa Mito. Ford has been using the Fiat petrol engine for some time now. Vauxhall uses the diesel engine - all those Vauxhall postman pat vans have the little Fiat diesel engine.

The 'automatic' gearbox is an acquired taste. Buy a manual!
