(Clock watching and day dreaming) You're the host (without the need to the catering, wash up or foot the bill) but the guest list is undecided. Table seats 8 and the missus expects a seat so who do you invite? Jodie Kidd Flemke (particularly after the 'in EVO' thread) Stephen Fry R Atkinson Kylie Any suggestions?

So 6 guests, 3 male, 3 female

I take it they have to be currently alive?

Alive would be tidier.

But if we going with regulars at the local.

Derestrictor
Lady Topaz
Mrs Fish

Mungo always struck me as good value for a comment, or two.

3 male, 3 female, all alive?

Cristina Scabbia
Jodie Kidd
Richard Hammond
Jenson Button
Scarlett Johanssen
Slash

Might invite George Monbiot too. Order a Lamborghini LM002 to pick him up from his house, pre-order him a Panda steak with garnish of White Rhino horn scrapings and champagne bottled in a third world country costing £1k a bottle, get him drunk and walk him home via an open manhole cover...

You guys are so shallow. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to talk to people you would never meet otherwise. You could have life changing, profound conversations with some deep thinking philosophers, world leader, wonderful people of vast experience and breadth of knowledge.

I'd go for kylie and any of her willing mates. Game on.

Public figures:
Jeremy Vine, Humphrey Lyttleton, George W, Germaine Greer, Lesley Garrett, Linda Smith

PHers for a gourmet evening (inc their partners):
Plotloss, GregE240, Dazren, Derestrictor, Wedgegirl, JeremyC (boy that was tough, but it would be a cracking night).

I've got loads of other permutations of PHers I'd invite to different types of gathering, but I'll leave it at this for now.

You misunderstood my motive.

With that guest list I won't have to worry about the cooking or the washing up.

bill bailey eddie izzard and stephen fry for comedy moments.
alois ruf for an evening of amazing insights into a car maker's genius mind
leonardo da vinci (ok he is slightly dead so this might count as bending the rules a bit)
scarlett johanson (nice to look at and has got something between her ears)

that would be quite a good diner party i think.
