Recommendations for something big & cheap

No, not the sort of council birds so beloved of Dog Star, Techiedave etc
Wife wants a 65"+ TV for lounge wall, I dont want to spend more than about £1100
Im not sure how compatible the two desires are, but Im wondering if those who know about TVs have any suggestions. Currys,AO.com,Richer Sounds etc seem to have the lesser known brands like HiSense,Cello etc for <£1K,even seen a Toshiba(although I believe they are not what they were)
To be plugged into a standard Sky box, although will probably upgrade to SkyQ to make best use. Im not one who can appreciate/care about a 0.01% variation in colour or such like, I just like to kick back & watch crap

HiSense is where I'd be looking. They always seem to be the company bridging the gap between cheaper no-name/once-upon-a-time-name brands and the likes of Sony/Samsung etc, and normally it's a jump of several hundred pounds to get from the HiSense to any appreciable increase in performance.
But if you can wait a few months until Black Friday etc it's probably worth it. Firstly, the sets will be cheaper and secondly the AV enthusiasts review sites are likely to have reviews up of the sets you're looking at, which should help guide the purchase somewhat. Many of this years sets were only released 2-3 months ago.
