Service History via I drive
Discussion
Hi All.
Please can you help me. I have had my 2015 435 serviced twice by a small independent garage. I now need to trade in my car and want to print out my service history. However, the history doesn't seem to be logged on the idrive although it does say 3000 miles to change brake pads etc. Is my history not logged via the idrive because I didn't take it to main or specialist dealer? thanks in advance.

Thinking beyond the box
If concerned I would get hold of a blank BMW service book from the newest generation that had them , BMW parts departments should stock them, and ask the garage to stamp and complete it in accordance with the services they carried out.
Therefore it has a full service history (backed up by invoices) as BMWs used to.
If you’re trading it , maybe the garage / dealer won’t know service books were dropped in 2015. I didn’t !
Or if they do , maybe they’ll understand that updating the iDrive isn’t within everyone’s gift.
They might still try and use this to knock price down but then I imagine many garages / dealers would look for any excuse!
There may be scope for a garage with the necessary access to upload history ? But I though got my idea was good.

thanks for the reply. I have the invoices for the service and the idrive details the next time for pads, oil etc change. Do you think this will impact the value much?
I think you've already impacted on the value by having non-BMW services on a relatively young and expensive car.Gassing Station | BMW General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
