I think that makes at least two that are airworthy in this country.
I can remember seeing 3 of them flying together in formation at Duxford about 20 odd years ago........

I like that it has a tow bar. I've got a vision of it rocking up to the local to pulling a trailer full of old kitchen cabinets and hedge trimmings!

I've seen and photographed the Old Warden Lysander several times so I've a very good idea of what the only flying example in the UK at the time looks like. A few weeks ago I heard an aircraft overhead, looked up and saw what I could have sworn was a yellow Lysander, it has such a distinctive wing shape. The trouble is I can't remember where I was at the time...
What might I have seen that could have fooled me?

The US regs about what can be owned privately are rather fun - a Saab Viggen that you can get up to Mach 1.7...Krikkit said:

Plus the Collings Foundation operate a F-100 Super Sabre and what is currently the worlds only civilian operated F-4 Phantom.

I love the Lysander and have seen the Shuttleworth one many times now, really pleased to hear of another taking to the air.
That for sale website posted earlier would be a dangerous place for a euromillions win (barring the fact I can't fly) I'd love this;
