I've been searching the site for a particular spec of 3 series Touring. I found a car I like located at Knights North Staffordshire but it's just in and there are no pics, so I Googled BMW North Staffs to see if their own site had the car with a set of pics, but they didn't. No bother. Anyway, I opened the BMW AUC site again and despite endless buggering about with settings, the BMW site only returns used cars from Knights North Staffs. I've tried closing the browser and launching the site, etc but no luck, I can no longer get a national search.

Am I being a total wally here or is there a bug? And yes, I'm definitely searching on https://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/ and not on the North Staffs website.

Thanks all.

Did exactly the same for me a couple of weeks ago but with Cooper Tunbridge Wells!!

last resort was to use a different browser.

Having just checked it seems to have cleared itself now.

As a temporary workaround try opening a private browsing window:

On Firefox it's named 'New Private Window' - hold Ctrl Shift and P keys down at the same time.

And on Chrome it's named 'New Incognito window' - hold Ctrl Shift and N keys down at the same time.

Hopefully it will clear itself in the next day or so.

Hi all

Thanks for the advice. I've tried the private browser and it works - I'll reboot sometime and hope that clears the regular browser.

Appreciate your help.

Don’t get too excited, every AUC model I chose from every dealer I tried was mysteriously “just sold” apart from one of the more honest sales guys that told me (in July) “hmm, seems to have sold in May”

Things must have changed then!

I found a pre-reg 123d on the AUC site in December 2017 and when I called the dealer the person I spoke to didn't even know they had it! Fortunately his boss did! laugh

Out of interest, what spec are you looking for?

I fancy a 1 - 2 year old 340i with the biggest spec possible for under £30k. I'm a bit unsure however, as the new model is around the corner and it's painful to pay that kind of money and be in yesterday's car even though both the 40i equivalent and the Touring are probably more than a year away. Still it's interesting looking around.

Had VW done a petrol GTI Estate I'd be interested but the R Estate seems a bit too full on for my needs.

Not easy though, is it? I was also looking for a highly specced 340i a while ago but gave up in the end. If the rumours are true then an M340i Touring is on the cards which will, one hopes, be a corking drive. That said I'm selling my 335d for a RRS so go figure!
