My 2009 Cayman 2.9 just would not blow cold air anymore. Possible re-gas I thought.
So off to my local independent Porsche dealer I go. They do an air-con health check........ So I was told and the cost of this would be lowered in the event of me getting them to carry out parts and labour repair work etc.
The car was due a service anyway so I booked it in.
I paid for two new rads (condensers) plus the labour involved.....close enough to a grand to make no difference and the regas of course.
Week later. Didn't blow cold again so the car was returned.
Apparently this time it was to do with a pressure pipe and this cost me a further £360.

Three weeks later.......no cold air.
On inspecting the car a third time it's now some pipe work in the engine bay that needs sorting......estimated at £700.

I'm arguing that the health check should have pointed out all of this surely. It just seems I'm being asked to fork out more money for something they should have sorted in the first place.

Any advise would be grateful.

It does sound a bit like you've had your trousers pulled down and they're just throwing parts at the car at your expense. I think you have every right to discuss the matter and to not pay labour charges yet again. But getting money back on parts that have been installed will be difficult.

This is exactly what happened to my Cayman except I was under warranty. Rads/pipes replaced only to discover further leaks requiring more and more replacements. Eventually gas tight and ok for the last 3 years. Really very difficult to get everything first time. I had almost the same years ago with a 993 (again under warranty).
