Luxury Coupe - reliability

Hi guys.

First post here, so please be nice!

I'm planning to treat myself for my 40th Bday (midlife crisis?!).

Looking for a used 2015+ luxury coupe e.g. BMW 2 series or Mercedes C220 etc.

I've only ever had Japanese cars e.g. Honda, Toyota and Suzuki.

Just wonder what the most reliable, fun to drive, luxury coupe would be (and cheaper to maintain than other luxury brands).

Haven't a clue about non Jap cars. But everywhere I look, it appears "if it's not Jap, it's crap" - is there much truth to this?

Lexus RC?

I've had problems with my recent 3 Series Coupe and E Class Coupe but never with my IS which shares mechanicals with the RC.

Yup go Japanese. I was a MB man for decades. Don't like the build of their new stuff these days....
