VW group engine expert advice required

Hi people,

I could do with some advice regarding a engine swap on my 2006 Ibiza TDI 130....
I got an early asz engine the other day (1998 to 2001) and noticed when I got the engine home I noticed that the new engine has a vibration dampener on the tensioner where my engine (2006) has a manual tensioner.
Upon doing a little research the vibration dampener looks removable, so I guess my question is that is it essentially the same bare engine block that I can change my tensioner and other ancillaries over with no other hidden issues ?

Well I have checked the timing belts and they are both the same number and the flywheel is the same part number also so happy days just a few brackets etc to swap out
