"The Yorkshire city of Bradford is set to open an embassy in central London as part of its campaign to be named Capital of Culture 2008.

Film chief Lord Puttnam is to be ambassador and TV presenter Richard Whiteley cultural attache.

The move is designed to bring Bradford's message south, giving the city a voice in the capital and raising awareness of its cultural achievements and landscape."

If they're planning on bringing a little bit of Braford south, I suggest they don't stop heading south until they reach Iraq.
