Refurbed alloys - is this "gap" in coverage expected?

Hi all,
Recently had my alloys refurbed and powder coated.
Very pleased with the finish and colour apart from one thing, there appears to be a gap on the edge of the rim where you can see the base layer, and looks a bit shabby. Near where it says "50 psi" on the tyre.
The place seems reputable as recommended on here too.

I'm guessing you mean that silver edge between the black finish and the tyre?
Looks as though they've only painted the fronts of the wheels, which isn't a terrible thing but that silver line round the wheel stands out. I'd personally speak to them and explain and see what they say.
If you had a full tyre off refurb of the entire wheel I'd expect the finish to be the same across the entire face and potentially backs of the wheels too.

Paid a shade over £300 for all 4 wheels, was meant to be a tyre-off, chemically stripped, blasted, then powder coated job.
The non-covered bit isn't on all of them I don't think and isn't all the way round.
Surprised at this as he's recommended on this forum, obviously won't name and shame without giving them chance to put it right.
Looks wrong to me though...
I've had a look and the finish does go right across the inside, I've driven about 30 miles since then and there's some brake dust on there but think that's fairly recent.
The non-covered bit isn't on all of them I don't think and isn't all the way round.

What does the inside of the wheels look like ?
If they have any dirt or brake dust etc . They haven't been done properly
Just had the wife's cars wheels refurbished they took wheels off , removed tyres , refurbished wheels inside and out refitted tyres and balanced them
I think they were dipped stripped and repaired and powder coated
Look like brand new wheels inside and out
Nowhere is there a line like on your pic

From that picture it doesn't look like it's been painted with the tyre off. That said, if the finish goes through the wheels then maybe it is and they've just not finished off the faces very well.The non-covered bit isn't on all of them I don't think and isn't all the way round.

If they're a reputable firm I'd take a trip back and explain it. I had a set of wheels powder coated in white about 12 years ago. Firm I'd used before and again full tyre off, strip and re-coat but on this occasion hadn't applied the powder thick enough. On the edges you could see the darker finish underneath. The took the car back in immediately and redid the job perfectly.
