E46 engine in E87 M47

I've got a M47 E81 BMW and after the turbo went 2 years ago the engine is very noisy.
I suspect a rod or the crank is ever so slightly bent/twisted.
I've been offered a VERY good engine for £100 but it's out of a late 2005 E46.
My code is M47N204D4
This engine is M47D20
Anyone know the differences?

E81 is the three door, don’t think they came with m47 as they only came in on facelift and with the n47.
If it is the m47 though then it must be a e87 5 door between 04-07 which puts it in the right age range as ur donor engine. Then it should fit although you will need to swap the sump,exhaust manifold, possibly some auxiliary mountings. And maybe some other bits- just check them side by side and swap anything that’s different. The basic engine will be the same tho
