Sometimes I have terrible wind
Discussion
Sometimes i get really bad wind and I don't know why. Some days i don't fart much, but then other days im like a machine. I believe its probably poo festering inside of me, but I can't get it out.
I remember when I used to work out, and I was consuming many calories daily. Sometimes I would get really bad stinky farts. I'd be farting without realising. My car would absolutely stink and I couldn't do any journey without having the windows down. My house stank. I was pooing like a champ, but I would still fart like mad. Eventually after a few days it would settle down.
But now I don't work out at all for health reasons, and my food intake has halved at least. But sometimes I get bad wind. Not sure why, my diet doesn't vary greatly, and I can't pinpoint anything that could be putting it out. So i'd like to try cleaning myself out to see if that helps. But how do I do this? Sometimes I feel bloated and as if there's something inside, but I can't get it out, and i'll just keep farting. How do I get it out? And why is this happening? Could it be that I have a lack of fibre in my diet?
Not trolling. Serious question.

Pah, I think I am the winner here.
Home made red goan curry last night. Woke up this morning, and for the 20 mins I was getting ready for work, it was like one continuous fart, and so bad it made me feel sick! i usually like my own farts, and am happy to waft them into my own face to enjoy.
This morning however, was different, uuurrgggggghhhhh.
For some indication of how putrid and strong they were, I drove the wife's convertible to work today, and even at 90 mph with the roof off, the car still stank......and it lingered.
Sit back and enjoy while you can, because when you are old and you fart you will s
t yourself.

I can try to edit stuff out of my diet, but it's going to be a challenge. Where do I even start? Most of what I eat is carbs, and the mega stinky farting marathons only happen once in a while. Otherwise it's just regular non-stinky farts. And how much should I actually be farting on a daily basis?

A few weekend ago, the wife was away with her mates, my daughter was at her boyfriends so Saturday night I decided to get a curry in; garlic chicken.Home made red goan curry last night. It's a shame that there was no one home to share my experience with!

Us over 60s aren't known as Old Farts for nothing. Something happens to the digestive system about 60 which causes vast quantities of wind but luckily nature has decreed that quantity is at the expense of, ahem, quality. I could fill a barrage balloon but usually wouldn't clear a phone box.
Still doesn't make me very popular with the OH though.

Ok so it's happened again. For 2 days I've been farting like something crawled up my arse and died. I don't remember eating anything out of the ordinary. I had a couple of fishcakes a few days ago. I'm having to keep the window open in this freezing weather because it the room constantly stinks. FML.
Consuming anything with artificial sweetners in it, including low/non- sugar sweets &/or chewing gum ?
Found out years ago that sugar free gum gave me tremendous amounts of wind. Used to have a piece after evry fag (so getting through a pack or more/day) & used to reek havoc with my guts. Something along these lines was a storyline in one episode of "House", something to do with the artificial sweetner messing with our gut fauna. Since (largely) cutting it out now down to what I call "normal" wind levels.
Though in the last few years have noticed that despite me loving muesli/granola for breakfast, it's liking me less and less.
Though there is a low grade tummy bug doing the rounds at the moment.
