Buying from OPC Belfast
Discussion
Have you got your insurance money already?
Can't see why there would be a problem - lots of people buy the MBZ plates from NI for their Mercs don't they? They're registered on the mainland, not in NI, so if you buy a car registered out there and leave it on the plate it's on (rather than a private plate i mean) then i guess it works like any other UK V5/registration.

shouldn't be a problem - loads here (in NI) have Mainland UK plates.
The OPC in Belfast is Agnews - only have experience of their Merc franchise but they're not the best to deal with. They basically are the only dealer here for porsche, MB etc so they have you at ransom! I would have thought you would have much more luck at home - if I was looking for a 911 I wouldn't waste my time looking locally - there is so much more choice on the mainland.

my local VLO take 3 days to do the paperwork, make sure you get the irish log book as it will slow the job up if you dont have it IRC........check the car over big time, if the car has been used in the republic of ireland some of the roads are very very poor so grounded front valances etc are common.
