$80,000 for a 1964 Mini Cooper S!

Is this an unusually high price for what appears to be a low mileage original Cooper S? Its a LHD US spec too.

For a genuine example like that no it's not, there are certainly some daft prices being asked for these lately but the really good ones are finding new homes, whichever of the five different Cooper / Cooper S engine capacities they may be.

Paul McCartney's '65 Radford Cooper S sold for just over £180k a few days ago and a few months ago Ringo's Hooper hatchback Cooper S sold for just over £100k, if people want something regarded as 'special' they'll stump up for it, no matter what anyone else thinks
