Forum closed in evenings?

Slightly odd, the last 4 or 5 evenings from approximately 9pm through to about 8-9 am the forum has displayed a message along the lines of 'sorry forum closed to new members due to excessive trolling earlier in the day' when I try to submit a post.
Anyone know what this is about as I haven't noticed much spamming recently and I don't think the message is directly aimed at me.

t. By the time you log on, the spam may well have been cleared up but the new member ban is still in force.

I believe this is linked to recent moderation on your account and our safe mode that protects the site from spammers. We've got the development team looking into it and I'll report back. I'm afraid you'll continue to see this restriction in the evenings/early mornings but we'll try to get this resolved as soon as possible.BenLowden said:

Ben I recently had a Temp ban 30 Days, so it could tie in with that not being fully removed?I am certainly not new

Yes that's exactly it. It would appear that while the suspension has lifted, you're still (kind of) banned which is causing the issue. You can post during the day but not when the site is in safe mode at night like other newbies. I've reported this and it's being looked into, so I'll get back to you ASAP once we know more.BenLowden said:

Ok cheers Ben, basically it's my own fault for being a spanner, messaged received and understood. Any idea how long I'm on the naughty step for?
