Hi all.
Can anyone recommend a wheel refurb company in Hertfordshire Essex and surrounding
Who are capable of doing diamond cut on the out edge of 20" wheels due to very slight light scratching on very out edge.

Many thanks in advance.

Lepsons in Kent get a lot of very good recommendations. These guys are in Herts and can do Diamond Cut wheels...they did a very good job on some Monza II's I had refurbed for my old Mk V Golf Gti.

Chris @ exel

Delivers 11/10 service and superb finish.
Loan wheels if needed.
Simply the best. No affiliation.

Chris @ Excell is good according to my Porsche fwends.

I have used First Aid Wheels in West Hamsptead https://www.fawheels.co.uk and they were great. Took my falling apart 911 split rims and worked wonders.

Does Excel deal with Centre lock wheels, namely got the equipment to remove them?

I spoke to Chris at Exel about this. I have centre locks on my 997.2 turbo and no-one seems to want to touch them. While Chris won’t remove them he will liaise with indys such as RPM Technik. They’ll take the wheels off for him and store the car while Chris sorts out the wheels. I’m getting my ones done in the new year and I was impressed with Exel’s process.

I was thinking of getting my local OPC to do the refurb and fit a set of Michelin PS4S tyres at the same time. Annoyingly they’re not N-rated so Porsche won’t handle them. Crazy situation! Chris said he’d be happy to source the tyres at the most competitive price and fit these once the wheels are done. A perfect solution.

My local OPC use Chris - he's their wheel man! Must be good.

Just be aware sometimes he can be too busy to bother with your minor re-furb despite promises made. You chase him for weeks, months, then he's offhand because he doesn't need your business.

I can vouch for the quality of the finish of Exel wheel refurbs. I saw a wheel that had been done by them at my local Porsche indy garage which was waiting to be fitted- it looked brand new. They will fit tyres at the same time as doing the refurb.
