VW Golf Service History ‘17
Discussion
Hi
I’m about to potentially buy a VW Golf GTD
It’s had it’s first service, but by Nissan
I’d prefer to have had the first service via main dealer but that ship has sailed, so it’ll never have a FDSH
It seems when people part ex or sell via car supermarkets/other dealers which are nearly new, they have them serviced by the manufacturer selling the car or in house
Going forward I’ll use VW to service it
My question is, would this be a problem for anyone buying in the future
Because it’s only the first initial service, I personally don’t, but I’m wondering what you car enthusiasts think
Thanks in advance for any replies
James

Generally the first service for most cars is a simple oil and filter change so I wouldn't be concerned. It hasn't put you off buying and I wouldn't think it would have much impact on future value to be honest. Most people will check for recent history and if they see VW stamps this will re-assure them. The potential cost over the course of car ownership will be so minimal anyway!
