Evening all,

Looking for ideas on a suitable car for 3 young children (4, 2 & new born).

Budget is £15k max but closer to £10k would be preferable. Obviously need to consider safety, space and would be nice of it was frugle.

TIA

I think you'll be wasting your time, they'll be forever arguing over whose turn it is to have it. getmecoat

If putting all 3 across the rear middle row the Mazda middle seat is really too narrow for car seats.

Toyota Verso works for us.

As per one of the poster's above -
Ford S Max.

I bought a 39,000 mile 2.0tdci 163ps version a couple of months back for just short of £12k.

Coming from a BMW 3 series, the S Max feels like a small house inside. 3 decent sized seats in the second row - I assume you can fit 3 child seats there ( I only have 2 kids). I guess your 4 year old may soon graduate to a booster type seat, so a bit less bulky, soon anyway.

With the third row of seats up, the boot is next to useless. However, with them folded away (and with the parcel shelf out), the boot will take 2/3 pushchairs and whatever else you want to chuck in there.

Pretty average/almost soulless thing to drive, but as a tool for the job, I have no regrets with the purchase.
