Sky Q and moving home temporarily

My son has Sky Q and is moving to a temporary home for 3/4 months. The new house has sky q at the moment so dish is ok.
Can he just take his box and plug it in?
I am right in saying that sky q needs broadband to work too?

The main Q box will work for normal TV viewing without broadband, however catch-up features etc won't.

Easiest way to check is switch of the BB where they are now and see what works.
