Where is the scam?

Afternoon All
Got a notice through the door from the postman, saying there was a parcel to collect with custom charges.
Now, I had ordered a couple of things from Amazon - and had assumed that I must have mistakenly bought from abroad. I paid the customs charges due, and was given my parcel.
Now, immediately, I realised that this was not the parcel I was expecting.
For my £11 quid, I got a pair of fake Ray Bans.
I assume the scam here, is that they can somehow claim the taxes back? How? Otherwise what is the point of this?
I have checked my bank account and online orders and am convinced I have not been charged for them. Although, I am concerned how they got all my personal information.... no doubt stolen or hacked.

I once got someone else's parcel from a company I'd bought something from a couple of week's before, the person printing the address label had made a typo on the order number and re-printed my address label.
Something similar might have happened here.
Can't be much of a scam as I assume you paid the customs charge to the Post Office rather than some random bank account.

There was a known scam where deliveries were made to incorrect addresses (deliberately), the person who ordered it would then attempt to intercept it at the doorstep before it was received. They'd then contact the sender to claim there was no delivery and request a refund. However given this was apparently an international delivery, I can't quite see how that would work unless they had a family member/friend near you operating on their behalf.

You bought a £1 pair of sunglasses and some packaging for £11. That's the scam right there. The parcel has not ever been sent
The OP has the parcel, it contained sunglasses. The scam here is by the Post Office and HMCustoms, who between them charge £11 for a nosey at a pair of plastic sunglasses.
