Getting a Fiat Panda 100hp tomorrow :)

After pressing 'bid now' on a well known auction site, i am picking up a Panda 100hp tomorrow.
£1700, 81k miles and FSH, cambelt has been done recently too.
Not seen it in person yet!
I have a BMW 320 tourer which i'll keep for now, but seeing how the Panda goes, i may off load it.
I'm looking forward to getting the little Panda.

I’ve currently got one, 90k miles on an 07 plate. It’s rough as hell but has had a load of money thrown at it by two of the most recent owners.
It’s very shortly going to a new home because I’m fed up with it - it just doesn’t want to live. Cracked windscreen after about a week of ownership with no sign of any damage and I hit a baby deer with it ruining the front bumper (currently held together with gaffer tape). Body parts like that are made of unobtanium. Rear end clonks about like f
k too.
Good fun if you rag the hell out of it and it fits anywhere. Otherwise I’m not really that keen on it.

Rear end knocks are typically rear shocks/upper bracket. Koni's are the way to go on the rear with fiat coupe bumpstops. Check out that area and the spring mounts on the rear axle for rot. Sensitive for wheel alignment and consequent tyre wear. Check coolant is fresh and pink (I think). I am sure you have done your research.. I loved mine, bags of Italian charm.
Got it... drive back from Wolverhampton to Manchester wasn’t bad, bit of motorway, but then come off early and went cross country.
For the age of the car, the body work is in great condition and solid motor. It has all the service history and receipts / invoices and has had the key jobs done as well as the well known faults rectified.
I’m pretty pleased with it . Previous owner was a PH-er too... see the sticker!
Whether it’s a long term car or not, I don’t know..l still have a 320 tourer for long journeys or where I want some comfort.

No, these are not rock hard.
They suffer from having too little suspension travel at the rear, exaggerated by too large a bump stop from the factory.
This can be sorted by fitting a smaller item from a Fiat Coupe, and there are after market rear dampers which are said to improve things further.
