Chim 400 Dyno Results

Just back from a rolling road run and although the bhp looks about right the torque seems awful low to me.
Anybody with a bit more knowledge on the graph care to comment.

Sorry I am crying with laughter here have you seen the RPM all these figures are quoted @ ? I think I must of missed a trick when I built mine now tell them you want a print-out of the actual REAL rpm figures relative too the rest of the results then you will get useful opinions

It was just a local old place I went to to check how my fuelling was doing.

8194 rpm for peak power?? The line cross over is at the right point (5250 rpm) but there must be something amiss unless you have a race engine fitted!

I’ve no idea why those rpm figures are displayed like that.

You have a limiter at 6250 rpm.....so blitz would seem to have it spot on.

They either haven't checked their graph, or don't know it's wrong, or don't care.

I remember going to a dyno shootout once near northampton where a similar thing occured .. the dyno operators and garage owners were all trying to work out why the torque on the graphs was so low until I pointed out their rpm scaling was out. None of them had noticed. All the gear and no idea springs to mind.

You say you went to see how your fuelling was doing .. your fuelling isn't even on that graph.

Didnt get an a/f ratio printout but it was quite steady at just under 14 at idle and cruise, went down to high 12 s on the 4th gear power run.

Those numbers sound ok but why didn't they put it on the graph? They're using the TAT software and you can pretty much put everything that's been logged all onto one graph so it's a shame they didn't.

No idea, i didnt notice the graph rpms until i got home. I can pop in and ask for another printout if they save the runs.

I rather suspect they will have to re-do the test, in which case get them to put the AFR on there too.
As it was their mistake it should be FOC - free of cockups...
