Heater on when its OFF!
Discussion
So, the VW Passat was a hoot when I got it, but now cracks are starting to appear!
Got the heater blowing out hot air at the moment when its all turned off...
I'll be phoning VW monday but has anyone experienced this before?
Also...i've got an ongoing issue/paranoia with road noise at 80, it just sounds like the car when i hit about 75-80 is doing more revs than it should be...highly irritating, the last service I told them and they said it was a wheel bearing, so one got replaced and blamed the noise on wheel balancing being irregular...not sure I trust this dealer tbh though, they couldn't even fit that wheel bearing right and I had to take it back.

With regards to the noise, it probably down to abnormal tyre wear. VAG are particularly bad for it on the rear even if the geometry is within the correct settings.
With regards to the heater, it could be temperature mixer flap is stuck or the motor has failed.
Thanks....i'll be contacting VW tomorrow morning. With regards to the heater, it could be temperature mixer flap is stuck or the motor has failed.
I have read a really old post somewhere else about mixer flap, sounds like the whole dash needs to come off!
