BMW RFT - Bridgestone Potenza S001 225/45/18 andalternatives
Discussion
Hi guys
Fronts are getting low on my f30 320d, SE but with upgrade staggered alloys .
I have found these tyres very good indeed, in fact no complaints in any regard. They are however quite expensive to replace.
I'd like premium brand, with rim protection (Rules out Kumho etc from past experience)
Can you recommend RFT tyres to the above spec from other brands that are slightly cheaper?
Failing that I'll bite the bullet but if there are tried and tested alternatives I'm all ears.
I have noticed it tramlining more recently and they have worn more so on the outside edges presumably due to hard sidewalls - I'll get an alignment at the same time the new ones are fitted.

My Z4 Coupe has Bridgestone Potenza RFTs and I'm not a fan.
My E91 has Pirelli P Zero RFTs (as did my E87) and they were considerably better - but those were 17" tyres rather than the 18" ones on my Z4C.
FWIW I got 2 Pirelli 225/45 X 17 RFTs for my E91 this year for £205, which was a pleasant surprise!
