Not sure where to put this, but this seems as good as anywhere...

We have a hard anodised frying pan, and a sauté pan too. Recently, they've started to get a bit sticky. There's probably a hard coating of crap on them by now (they are three or four years old), but being black, it's harder to see.

They are usually hand washed, rather than dishwashered but I kind of think they need a 'deep clean' or something. Any advice on how to tackle this?

Don't tell me to bin them and buy something decent, thank you smile

Put a layer of salt in the bottom, then put the pan on the heat, get it toasty hot and then rub the salt into the pan with kitchen paper. Obviously be very careful not to burn fingers.

We've got some Circulon Infinity, no sticky residue to speak of, they go in the dishwasher most of the time.
