What Casserole dish?

Le Cruset is nice stuff, but very expensive.
Sainsburys do a small range, we have two of them and some Le Cruset stuff ... to be honest I cannot tell the difference in either looks or performance.

Think we got a Le Cruset style one from Dunelm Mill i.e. cast iron and enamel, cost significantly less than the branded item. Anyway that's what you want. Use it on the hob to do all the browning, whack in all the other stuff and liquid, bring to boil, put the lid on and stick it in the oven to cook slow and low.
Mmmm, getting towards that time of year.

Thought I'd seen Aldi or Lidl selling some (but can't find them
)Worth looking at Lodge cast iron too, very versatile, and often the lid can be used as a pan too.

We've got a ProCook one along with assorted bits from there.
Seems good for the money, certainly a hefty bit of kit

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I've come across this Andrew James casserole that seems a great deal and comes with very positive reviews too.

Looks ideal, don't overthink it, it's a cast iron pot, covered in enamel at the end of the day.I've come across this Andrew James casserole that seems a great deal and comes with very positive reviews too.

You could casserole perfectly well in an oven proof saucepan, so this will do the job admirably.
