Not on Ebay anymore cos it's parked on my drive! Great car, good condition only 60k miles and it's a 2+2 all for only £1600. Just sat through 2 hours of hardly moving on the M25, cos of some major pile-up this morning, and the temperature only crept above 90 a few times. Wish the Griff was as dependable. Anyway I've not had a wedge for 8 years and never had a 280 or a fixed head so expect lots of questions. For instance, wots the huge great red central heating tap type thing that looks like it should be in the house. I feel a bible purchase coming on.

It is a central heating cut off valve. Someone appears to have inseted it to cut off the heater, probably because it was leaking. Time to delve into the dashboard, good luck.
I think it's similar to the set up on my 350. Interior temperature control is through mixing cold / warm air inside the car via flap of some sort. Warm water is always passing through the heater matix. This means the car heats up even more in the summer (Are we having one this year???). A previous owner has fitted an isolation valve under the bonnet so I can stop the warm water circulating in the summer.
