Just always wondered this. How did you discover PH? I have been reading it since about 2008, but read it more when “Spotted” came out and it piqued my interest further. I signed up just out of interest to post in the forums.

Someone linked to the Jason Plato event a few years ago, and I think I signed up back then but I couldn't then find any record of that when I tried to post in a thread a few years ago - there was a "What car is this?" thread that got me hooked and I joined up then with this username

Just googled 'Best place to have arguments with strangers online'

The rest they say, is history.

An old work colleague used to talk about it in the office, so I started to lurk on here for a while before deciding to sign up properly in order to offer my words of wisdom.

Incidentally, I now know where a lot of their opinions on cars and politics came from hehe

Had a customer that I got on well with who over lunch one day invited me to Le Mans and said I should check out the thread on PH.

We continued to make the pilgrimage for a good few years until it went a bit poo.

I kept ending up here when reading discussions about cars. I only signed up when I thought there might be more forums visible to members only; even then I thought the forums looked positively ancient. They do work, though.

I find stuff like VWVortex impossible to decipher, PH is so much easier to read off the bat

Been reading the forum for a good few years now. A colleague was laughing so hard, hard enough to snap his farting strings, we had a look at the cause, been reading the forum ever since but only recently signed up.

Someone left me a chimaera in a will. I needed a crash course in driving and maintaining it. Local tvr specialist pointed me here.
