Hello all, I am not a TVR owner at the moment, but hope to be in the very near future. I was wondering if any owners out there have considered fitting a NOS system to there T350s and what the implications would be. I know TVR-Power has done so to a couple of Cerberas. Does anyone know how any of the cerberas are holding up? I just kind of like the idea of have an extra amount of power to destroy the opposition in tricky situations. Any info will be much appreciated.

I have driven a few T350s and loved every one of them, I would just love to give porkers and lambos the fright of their lives. The reason I thought of the NOS route is, I was under the impression that it's relatively easy to fit as oppose to supercharging. I may be wrong though.

To be honest, I think I'd leave the engine alone apart from remapping to optimise the current spec mechanicals. Let's face it, these engines are prone to going bang without being helped along their way.

Of course a NOS expert will come along now and tell me I'm talking rubbish. Fair enough, but I'm not doing it to my £40k car!

Anyway, how fast do you want to go? Crikey, you can lose your license easily in second gear.

NOS a Tiv? r u on the wrong site? Max Power's that way. Being serious if you do consider doing it I'd order your headstone now, you'll be needing one.

What happens when you're out of Nos and someone else tries it with you?

NOs a T350!!!! Jeeez! Mine used to spin wheels in third if the road was little bit bumpy.

I can just imagine it:

Floor it in third, add NOs, bump, spin, hedge/car interface.

As my grandfather used to say, "If you want a fast car... buy one... don't try and make one"

I think it's a genius idea. You could wire up the buttons behind the steering wheel to activate it. The latest NOS systems are very progressive and power gains aren't outrageous so I don't think it can screw up reliability given it'll only be applied for short bursts. TVR are the people to talk too. Personally I'd love NOS on the Sagaris and might look into it one day.

My experience is that cars only get more fun the more you tune them!

I believe that anyone that drives a TVR, wants to go faster. That's why they drive them in the first place. I know they're are fast but, could be put to shame by a gallardo any day. Won't it just be wonderful to turn the form book on it's head? at least on a straight road. I sounds very appealing to me.

Might be worth giving TVR Power a call, as they supply and fit Nitrous Systems to TVR's.

Ah, but that's where you're wrong - go look at the performance stats for a T350 vs a Gallardo. (Then think about the price differential). Even if the magazine testers' T350 had the red rose engine upgrade (about 25hp).

I drive a TVR because of the whole driving experience. You can never get enough of it.

I wpouldn't be so sure - may be top speed, but in-gear acceleration is supercar league in most S6 cars - check the 30-70 times in the back of several car magazines, and I think you'll find them up there with 911s, 360s etc.

Check the circuit lap-times in the back of EVO - I believe the T350 beats the Lambo there..?

To answer your question a T350 either has just been done or should be about finished being fitted with NOS! There are a couple of NOS'd Tuscans now too but they only have 75bhp extra. We are looking at doing another Tuscan fairly soon.

I've had NOS on my car for over a year now and had no trouble at all. Its never missed a beat. I've got 200bhp jets in and its delivered at 30% @ full throttle and over 2.5 secs progressively moves to the full 100%. TVR power didn't fit my system but to answer your question yes its still going.

As someone said above the new NOS systems available these days are far better and much more reliable. That coupled with the new controllers make it a very freindly system to set up and use.

Also as said above what happens when you run out! Well what happens when you run out of petrol? You don't get very far! With the systems you can get a pressure gauge for about £35 and you can tell if your getting low and if so get it filled.
