Where is your money?
Discussion
Given the Brexit malarky on the horizon, interest rate changes, potential tax rises and the markets at some lofty heights where are your savings right now?
10% AIM Stock Gambles (in SS ISA)
60% Equity Funds (Global, some european excluding UK, some UK, some US focused) in SS ISA
30% Cash ('high' interest saver)
Thinking about moving some cash into a different currency, but not really sure my crystal ball is working.

Where is that crystal ball when you want it?
I'd say I have about 20% in cash (prem bonds, ISAs) or gilts/bonds (in pensions), then 60% in equities in pensions, the rest in equities outside of pensions.
Bit of a mish-mash, & I doubt that really helps you visualising where things are going.
My *personal* expectation is that the market will have a correction in the next 18 months....I'd expect perhaps 20%, but really, experts with far more knowledge than me have been predicting that for the past 18 months: if I'd moved my equity to cash back then I would have missed out on a huge growth since then... so perhaps we have reached strong and stable stocks...mmmmm!

are premium bonds worth it these days? I have a tenner in an account that was opened for me in 1985, but it's only ever won once i think....actually forgot about it but i think the certificate is at home somewhere
they are about as good as a really crappy savings account ...but you can manage them online and 24-48 hour withdrawals....hence I just use them as a medium term savings account, theres always the chance of a win more than £25 or £50 and if you drop a £250, 500, £1000 etc it makes them worthwhile.Badda said:

I was thinking how to include property, but struggled so gave up..
I own 50 percent of my house. Rest mortgaged at 1.5 percent
A home isn’t really applicable in scenarios like this. Investment property is different. I own 50 percent of my house. Rest mortgaged at 1.5 percent

Im starting to think im Too much held in tech equities across USD and GBP traded shares. Must take time to reexamine and rebalance. I did time getting half out of amazon nicely but expect I'll buy back in if GBP takes off significantly (momentarily only I feel) when the circus show announces they've made a concession / deal.

Given the Brexit malarky on the horizon
When, in the history of the stock markets, has there not been some impending doom event on the horizon? The trick is to calculate the distance to that horizon. And one man's doom is another man's boom.
Just remembered Gordon Brown's 'No more boom and bust'... Canute had more chance!
100% in one aim stock.
I don't have much in (£10k) and I am currently 300% up so no big deal. I'm leaving the money in until my target price is hit or some news arrives I don't like. I have a 5 year time scale and hopefully wont need the cash before then.
If it works out, it's a life changer. If not then i'll have to work as long as would have anyway so nothing to lose!
