Mayans MC (spinoff from sons of anarchy)

At long last Mayans MC has made its debut. I have watched episodes one and two, personally I think it was well worth the wait.

I like the characters already, so much so that the use of certain characters of old wasn't really necessary.. I hope the TV network gives it a chance.

If anyone happens to have watched it, did you think the actor playing Marcus Alvarez seemed to be physically challenged a bit? His who upper body seemed stiff as a board.

Going to give it a miss for now and see how it settles in, but turned it off mid way through Ep 2 as it was just dire writing.

Sons of Anarchy was also dire but I watched and enjoyed every episode.
At least this won't have Charlie Hunam in.

Started watching it last night all though turned it off half way through as was getting late, SOA make an appearance in the first episode although didn't recognise any of the characters.

I've seen both seasons of Mayans and am really surprised at people saying they don't like it.

We watched SoA and, frankly, it was like watching a soap opera. Good enough, I guess, to have stuck with it for seven seasons, but pretty low rent writing.

Mayans seemed a natural progression - same writer! - but it couldn't be more different. The quality of the writing is significantly improved, the storylines have greater depth and it's much more like watching a film each episode. Really looking forward to Season 3!

I think in the second episode of season two they even had a bit that took the piss out of SoA:
