...and I’m really starting to love this car.
Started to get to grips with the gearbox - getting an up or down change just right is very satisfying.
Too many revs on the downshift and the engine screams a bit too much, but get it right and it’s lovely.
Of the auto boxed cars I’ve had, this is by far the best suited to the car.
I definitely need to get the Alfaworks geo mod done though, as it’s certainly skittish on my local tractor rutted roads, but it also makes every drive ‘interesting’
The race exhaust really isn’t an issue to my one working ear, so plans to change that are on hold (opinion might change when I hear the Alfaworks one though...)
Overall, in the short time I’ve had this car I’m becoming smitten.
Can’t stop driving it

Glad you're enjoying it.... Blimey that number plate is smallStarted to get to grips with the gearbox - getting an up or down change just right is very satisfying.

Same here. Addictive....
Took mine on a journey from home (Birmingham) to Malvern then down to the Haynes Motor Museum near Yeovil (what a place by the way!) and then back again.
Enjoyed every mile and still amazing how much interest they generate. It took me around 30 minutes to actually get into the museum due to the amount of people wanted to talk about it.

I like the race exhaust I won't be changing mine.
My niggles so far are starting the car - how long after turning the key does it take for the starter motor to engage, there seems to be almost a seconds delay on mine, anybody else noticed this?
I seem to get quite a lot of black soot on the rear of my (white) car after a drive. I presume this is coming from the exhaust?

Noticed exactly the same.My niggles so far are starting the car - how long after turning the key does it take for the starter motor to engage, there seems to be almost a seconds delay on mine, anybody else noticed this?

From cold, it seems to start straight away but when warm, sometimes it takes several seconds.
Quite odd.
I assume the engine runs quite rich - had the same on both my Exige V6’s.

When it's slow to start after turning the key, it might be because you left the car in gear. It will put itself into neutral first, before starting. My niggles so far are starting the car - how long after turning the key does it take for the starter motor to engage, there seems to be almost a seconds delay on mine, anybody else noticed this?

That'd make sense - once I've reversed into the garage I put it into neutral (whilst sitting with the door open, just listening...
) so on the next cold start it fires up straight away.Don't tend to put it in neutral when I'm out and about.

Earlier cars coloured , later black and white , all the badges changed so bonnet etc has different colours , Alfa corporate rebrand
I thought that maybe the case, however there are cars I’ve seen younger than mine with the coloured insert.Unless these were built earlier and registered a lot later on?
(The white one at Veloces an example)

I think you are possibly correct on that . There’s. probably someone with more knowledge who could answer better , the embroiled badges on the covers also changed when the cars changed

After two and a half years of a love affair with my 4c I’m afraid I had to call an end to it last night when I put it up for sale on here. It’s been amazing, I’ve loved every minute and really can forgive it anything.
I have an integrale Evo II and when I saw the 4c I said to the wife let me get it and give me a month, whichever one I like most I’ll keep and I’ll sell the other. I sold on an integrale years ago and didn’t want to make the same mistake again, especially given the reports on it are very much love it or hate it. Well, that was two and a half years ago and now she’s giving me some heat about it and I just can’t bring myself to let the Lancia go so...
Gutted just doesn’t even touch how I feel about it going 😔

Don't do it, I did the same thing I had a Maserati Gransport, MC Victory, my wife really didn't like driving it as it had an F1 gearbox, so sold it I have regretted it ever since.I have an integrale Evo II and when I saw the 4c I said to the wife let me get it and give me a month, whichever one I like most I’ll keep and I’ll sell the other.
