So what's the recent story regarding this ? I know it was at Watchet, but how is it now high and dry near Shirehampton ?

I'd hazard a guess it's high and dry because the tide went out.

Happy to help. wink

Certainly was, don't know if it still is.

There are still a few MTB/ASR boats in the Shoreham houseboat community, though not in quite the same condition as that one.

That would be a project if ever I won a decent amount on the lottery.

He could do with aiming that Bofors at the crappy Mondeo on the shore.

Interesting history on the "Gay Class" boats.

Did they carry more than two torpedos, or was one in each tube the total amount?

I don't fancy trying to manhandle a torpedo at 40 knots in a seaway, the slipstream alone will require holding on with both hands. hehe

I know it has different connotations these days but you have to smile about the boat names. HMS Gay Bruiser !

Looking to find the current location of Gay-Archer. My father served on P8044 and I am trying to restore a large model he built. Any help is gratefully received.

I know that the “Gay” class were post war, but it would still be good to get Gay Archer on display in here perhaps:
