So my rukka suit as CE level 2 armour as standard

but the dianese one piece has level 1 old skool hard armour ...

has any one on here gone to the effort of upgrading their track day armour ?

I am due to pop down to a leather altering place to get some updates done (have some forcefield armour that is level 2 in my enduro kit so going to get some velcro fitted and see what they can do)

but sounds like my request isnt that common ... anyone else bothered ?

or you guys never going to hit the deck and on track if you come off its more the sliding protection you need than the impact ?

You risk some BIG impacts on track - you've only got to Youtube Highside compilation.

Both my crashes has been a big impact followed by a long slide.

I'd want the best armour possible.

Which bits of armour are you wanting to change though?

The new flexible armour makes a big difference in comfort. But you need to check that they are Level 2 CE. Not all flexible armour is Level 2, and many are only Level 1. I really rate the new Knox Micro-Lock armour which has Level 2 options.

yeah that flexible level 2 know is what is in the rukka i think ...

shoulders are an easy velcro fix but elbows and knees are going to be more of a problem on the dianese suit due to the way its designed (from what I am told)

will know more over the weekend when i get back from the leather expert

Check how the armour is held in your suit. On my spidi suit it's held in a sleeve and is easily replaceable with better armour. Check out sastec or forcefield for replacements

sadly dainese its just velcro on the shoulders .. so going to get them to attach some velcro to the shoulders
but the knees and elbows are a bit mnore of a challenge

I think you might have issues finding armour big enough to fit as the knee protectors in Dainese go all the way at down the shin.
