Gonna need some proof there, sonny.

Maybe a blessing in disguise, if there is a strangled supply, a price rise is surely going to coincide with an increase in watches, non? I say this as I impatiently sit on a waiting list, of course...

Apart from the last few times they’ve said there was going to be a price rise and nothing happened - I’ve seen rumours of one or two this year alone.

Conspiracy theorists might conclude that the rumours are started by Rolex so that they can shift a few of the slightly less desirable models that are sitting in shop windows while there are still long lists for anything steel and diver oriented

Was being posted up on Rolex forum yesterday evening from multiple very reliable sources.

Even with a 5% increase, UK is still cheaper to buy than USA and most of Europe.

Still, largely academic when there's no watches to buy laugh

Few outside of Rolex know for sure, and it’s true there have been many false alarms, but the chap on TZ-UK is one of the very few I would trust to corroborate such a statement, and he’s put himself 100% behind it being correct. Does it mean it’s a cast-iron certainty? No, but I would be amazed if not. Especially as it’s been almost two years since the last increase (not that Rolex work to any kind of set schedule when reviewing pricing).

It’s cast iron this time. Every dealer in the U.K. should know by now. I’ve never listenened to the rumours and only went with when dealers announce it. I thought it would come just before Basel next year so all the new models come with the price increase attached?

I was in Manchester today and stopped off in St Annes Sq and asked DMR who confirmed that from the 1st Oct a 5% increase is true.

Good news! Demand (and second hand values) should go up even more. hehe

I wonder how high Rolex could price their most popular ss sports watches like the gmt and submariners in the U.K. before demand would actually fall?

Just wondering, do you think Rolex will increase Tudor prices at the same time or do they totally separate both brands with price increases ?
Many thanks

Having just picked up a new SS GMT II from my AD, I really do think they are incredible value for what they are, so I think they have some way to go above inflation before they become overpriced.

I'm probably coming at it from the perspective of someone who bought one 18 years ago, and in fairness they've made some good improvements incrementally since then, but, leaving aside the retained value, I don't know if I could say they are 'incredible value', however thinking about it all the main manufacturers have upped their prices similarly, so direct comparison is difficult I guess. There's still demand outstripping supply, so I think the prices will go only one way, be interesting to see where the balance point will be...
