Hmmm. For the past two days it's telling me there's a -6 psi pressure loss on the rear right tyre, but the TPM is showing correct pressures at 30 +/-2 psi all round, and I've checked that the pressure is correct at 30 psi at a petrol station.

Is there a way of resetting the TPM, or is this a system fault? All suggestions appreciated.

Car is a 981 CGTS, FWIW.

I'd guess more likely a sensor throwing up an occasional error. My 718 Cayman is generally a little inaccurate, and when I last had a puncture got really quite bad with being a country mile off for pressure readings. If you know they look ok on a decent pressure gauge not too much to worry about.

Don't know how much that helps - I'd try a new TPM sensor before anything else.

you can reset the TPMS ... once done it will not display anything until you drive a few hundred metres.

reset will be in the settings menu

Tyre pressures should be checked when cold, if you drive and check at a filling station the indicated pressures will give you a false reading. If they are showing 30psi after even a short drive then they could be at least 3-4psi low when cold.

Yeah, thanks, I'd never noticed that tyre pressures increase with temp. Maybe there's a law of physics behind that.

Thx SFO, I've reset TPM, will drive tmw....

Assumed sarcasm apart why do you do completely the wrong thing by checking them in a filling station then?

I reset the TPM system this a.m. It was showing 31, 31 on the left, 30, 30 on the right both before and after the reset. After a couple of mins, it's warning me the front right is -6 psi, despite the TPM still showing 30 psi!

After a 20 mile drive, another reset, set off again. This time the warning is -4 or -6 (can't remember) on the right rear! Still showing 31, 31 left; 30, 30 right. Drove home, by which time I had 33, 33 left and 31, 31 right. Still warning -6 on the right rear...

I rechecked the pressures again at a different petrol station. Machine agrees with the TPM, as before.

I figure the tyres are warm after 20 miles at motorway speeds, and it's 21 degrees outside, so I inflated to a pressure of 33 psi all round. Another reset.

To be continued, I guess....

I have the same issues over the last two weeks, fronts and rears on TPM show identical on cold but as they warm up still within 0.1bar of each other i get warning saying 0.2 or 0.3 on one or two rears. It can't really make its mind up.

I cleared and reset it many times and but still occurred, last reset it seemed to be ok.
