Hi,

Does anyone know what the situation is with warranty / Porsche assist,
when you purchase a second hand Porsche (2018 model) ?
I.e. Is it easy to transfer to the buyer in a private sale ?
Many thanks !

All you have to do is fill in a transfer of warranty form and it’s yours.

Should be with all the warranty paperwork or back of the service booklet. You’ll get a letter confirming transfer a few weeks later.

On a 2018 car it’s even more simple. So nothing

It’s covered under the manufacture 3 year warranty.

Great ! Thanks both.

BTW - I heard that it is only transferable for the first two years and not the third year - do you know if that’s correct ?

Not these days, that changed many moons ago.

Thanks again.

Last question - What about the Porsche Assist - is that transferable as well for the 3 years ?

It did on mine when I submitted the change of ownership form for my car’s extended warranty.

I’d be very surprised if Assist isn’t transferred automatically with the warranty on the new car, but definitely one to check with an OPC.
