Buying an i8 - what is a fair offer?

Hi All,

I'm looking at buying an i8.

What do you think would be a fair offer for either of below for a cash sale?

Both are 2014 cars.

Cash sales are car salesmen's worse nightmare TBH, they will make bugger all on the finance deals etc..so expect little I would say

What’s the projected battery lifespan ? Any offer would be based on this.

Battery has a warranty with BMW for 8 years from memory. I suspect Mini engine will go first. A 2015 BMW approved used were £52K inc 12months warranty 6 months back so I would start at £50K for either of those. Make sure you get a Mains charging cable as some go awol. The shocks seem to be a weak area and make sure the fuel filler release works ok.

If I was buying a complex car like an I8, I would only buy a 'BMW Approved Used' example.

I would also try my hand at £50 as a starter. Don't worry about battery life, they don't seem to deteriorate.

I had one for a week 2015 with 93k hard miles on it. No issues with the powertrain , perhaps the dampers were getting a bit worn .. but what a car to drive. Highly recommended
