I needed mine a couple of months ago to requalify as an Irish lawyer. Had no idea where it was, so had to pay the University for a copy.

Presumably your degree opened a door for your job. A job that pays bills/roof over your head/ a few toys etc....

Yes, yes you should be proud.

The only place you could hang it would be in the toilet.

Failing that, envelope somewhere safe, just in case you might need it for something in the future...

I managed a "gentleman's" degree, a 2:2. To much partying not enough study biggrin Still landed a decent job though.

Not sure I want it on the wall where someone will say "oh, you've got a degree, only manged a 2:2 though".

I don't even know where mine are.

Even so, i wouldn't hang it on any wall of an office.

Cringetastic IMO.

No, the certificates live in a folder with all our other personal documents.

What I do have on the wall are three little wooden plaques with the crests of the universities I attended.

My 2p,

If you're a Doctor, Dentist, Accountant or Solicitor (perhaps others I forget) then your clients/patients might find them reassuring, even interesting to see / read them, especially if you went to a really good Uni or got any special honours.

If you're a Sales Manager with a 2:2 in History, NO ONE fkING CARES. By all means if you're especially proud of what you did in between parties a few decades ago then hang it in your house, but you look a bit of a dick in work doing it.

Both my degree certificates are on my home office wall... yes, I'm proud of them, I worked very hard to get them... but then I graduated last century when it still meant something...

This.

God alone knows where mine is, probably in the loft of a house I used to live in.

I don’t know where mine is. I’m neither proud nor ashamed of it, it’s just a piece of paper that’s of little practical use to me

It’s probably in my filing cabinet or in a folder somewhere. I can’t remember what it looks like

I find it funny when people put their degree letters on email signatures hehe

I worked with Craig Wright a couple of years ago, there wasn't a piece of wall in his office that didn't have some kind of PhD/Degree etc on it - thought it was awfully tacky.

Google him if you're not familiar.

Mine are in a cabinet I think, along with other professional qualifications.

Mine are framed but in the loft of my former home where the wife is. Despite asking for these for job interviews, she has so far refused!

Mine is sitting hidden away at home (MBChB). What I currently have on my wall at work is the framed page of pacenotes from my first big accident on a rally!

Only finished my degree about 3 weeks ago (as a 50 yr old with the OU). I'm awaiting my results, but I'm sure when I get the certificate through I will be insanely proud of it for a few weeks. After which I'll probably stick it away in a drawer and forget about it.

I had to provide scans of my degrees when I started my current job 10 years ago. I have no idea where either the certificates or the scans are now.

I wouldn't dream of putting them on the wall even if I could find them. They've been a means to an end.

What's a little depressing is I did some project management course through work and the certificate I received at the end of the week looked a lot more official than my Ph.D. certificate frown
