Bonnet Stay

My rattling original bonnet stay is driving me mad. On a previous griff I had the leven upgraded one but leven don't seem to do that anymore. Does anyone have any ideas.

Not much help but I did this


It was all a bit 'on the hoof' so I have no dimensions of anything I did. If i did it again I wouldn't use all stainless rod.
