Just to say that my 5 year old (ie out of warranty by some time) Ocean One stopped working. A quick email to Steinhart started a most impressive customer service experience. They arranged at their cost to have to watch collected by a courier and taken to Germany where it was fixed foc and for 30 euros I was able to upgrade to a ceramic bezel. The watch has just been returned looking like new. If I hadn’t asked for the bezel there would have been no charge. A stark contrast to the more “premium” brands in my collection. A very happy customer and I highly recommend this firm if you are considering a purchase.

Thats fantastic, a great example of top customer service, and as you say a real wake up call for premium brands!

Maybe a Steinhart should be on my to buy list....

That's interesting. I have a six year old Ocean One that I want servicing and have been quoted around £165 by a few reputable independents in the UK.
I'll drop Steinhart an email and see what they say.

I had to get a new bezel insert fitted to my Ocean One titanium. They had it collected by FedEx, shipped to Germany, fixed and shipped back in a brand new box within 2 weeks. Only charged me for the part (€25). Cannot complain at all.

Excellent to hear, I keep looking at the Steinhart Ocean One Vintage Red.

I've got a Rolex Datejust, Omega Seamaster 300m and a Tudor BB GMT on the way. At the moment my Seamaster 300m is my daily (2017 model) but I'd really like a vintage Rolex Submariner in black.

I thought about getting the Tudor BB 58 as an alternative for a vintage Submariner (because they look so vintage) but the Steinhart looks equally as good.

I'm really impressed with the quality of the Steinhart Ocean One, its so well made, with 8 watches its the one I wear the most. It looks and feels like a much more expensive piece. A lot of people seem to favour the 39mm version but for me the 42mm is perfect.

Another happy customer here - after a few years of use my Ocean Vintage Red started gaining time so I sent it to them for a service.

Returned in full health it's been fine ever since. I'll certainly be sending it back when it next needs any work.

Ranger 6, how much did they charge please? I've been quoted £165 from a good independent in the UK.

It cost me the carriage to get it there - when they said it was ready, I asked how much, Gunther replied it was done under warranty so FOC.
